Regular readers of this blog will know that I’m a bit of a fan of Festivals that take place at Butlins.
Once you see past the dated Hi-de-hi image of red coats and nobbly-knee competitions, you discover a glorious world of festivals where you neither need to sleep out under canvas nor traipse around town from venue to venue.
The stages are close to each other, your comfy chalet a short walk away, and the food is excellent, and the atmosphere electric.
Not only are the line-ups impressive, but the sound and lighting is second to none.
As you can tell from my review of Shiiine On in Birmingham in 2018 and Verity and Dulcie’s photo review of Shiiine On at Butlins in 2019 we are big fans of Shiiine On, and if you’re a fan of 90’s Indie then who wouldn’t be?
As I said previously: “Imagine spending a weekend where your favourite 90s Indie bands perform their hits one after another, in the company of like minded people, plus pool parties, themed exhibitions, films and various fun activities.
You’ve just imagined Shiiine On!”
And just look at this lineup…
Whilst there are still a few months to the festival itself, tickets are flying with 75% already sold, so if you’re thinking about going, don’t leave it too late!
Shiiine On 2022 takes place at:
Butlins, Warren Rd, Minehead TA24 5SH
Friday 11th – Sunday 13th November 2022
